Media Officer (Gold Coast)

The Role

An chance has become available for a Media Officer to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

Prepare media and other communication materials including media releases/responses Produce, shoot and edit videos and undertake photography at professional standard Foster positive relationships with local journalists across all mediums Contribute to and maintain a pre-planned social media calendar

About you

To be successful in this position you will require: Track record in proactive and reactive media relations and social media management While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Permanent full time Base salary ranging from $105 568
- $114 861 per annum

The Strategic Communication and Engagement unit oversees the implementation of Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) communication and engagement strategy, with the objective of enhancing and protecting the organisation's reputation as a world-class provider of health services and a leading employer. It manages production of high-quality communication and engagement activity across a variety of channels for both internal and external audiences and provides strategic advice to the executive team and other GCHHS divisions.
