Description
We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Engineer – OHLE to join our progressive rail team on the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP), based at our Ormeau facility.
This is a hands‐on role where you will take ownership of OHLE engineering activities across planning, construction, installation, testing and commissioning.
As the Responsible Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and in line with quality and environmental standards.
Working within an integrated rail team, you will coordinate site activities, manage subcontractors, and drive project outcomes across a complex, multi‐disciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate OHLE works including possessions, installation, testing and entry into service.
Ensure compliance with WHS, Rail Safety National Law, and project specifications and standards.
Manage QA documentation, work packs and inspections to ensure work lots are completed and compliant.
Coordinate subcontractors, designers and site teams to ensure constructability and delivery to program.
Monitor progress, manage resources and report to the Construction Manager on project performance.
Qualifications
Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
3+ years' experience in OHLE, ideally within electrified rail infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated experience in 25kV AC OHLE construction, testing and commissioning.
Solid knowledge of possession planning within a multi‐disciplinary rail workplace.
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills, with solid MS Office capability.
