The Opportunity An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Construction Supervisor to join a growing Queensland team. This role is responsible for managing multiple repair and restoration projects, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining quality standards and ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time and within budget. The successful candidate will act as the company's representative on site, building strong relationships with clients, trades, property owners and key stakeholders while driving project outcomes from commencement through to completion. Key Responsibilities Project & Site Management
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and trades throughout the repair and construction process.
- Develop and maintain project schedules to achieve completion targets.
- Monitor project progress, budgets and timelines.
- Ensure all works are completed to a high standard of quality and workmanship.
- Coordinate site access and scheduling with property owners and stakeholders.
- Resolve site issues and disputes efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records within company systems.
- Obtain all required compliance certificates, approvals and completion documentation. Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, trades, loss adjusters and property owners.
- Provide regular project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the business professionally at all times.
- Liaise effectively with internal teams including Estimating, Construction and Safety. Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with WHS legislation and company policies.
- Conduct and review risk assessments for construction activities.
- Monitor site safety performance and subcontractor compliance.
- Implement and enforce safe work practices and procedures.
- Manage site inspections and action any identified safety issues.
- Ensure Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) are maintained and adhered to.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all projects. About You You are an experienced construction skilled with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You are highly organised, solutions-focused and confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders. Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a Construction Supervisor, Site Supervisor or similar role.
- Strong construction or trade background.
- Current QBCC Supervisor Licence (or relevant state-based equivalent).
- Sound understanding of WHS legislation and construction compliance requirements.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office and email systems.
- Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate project records.
- Willingness to travel as required. Desirable
- Trade qualification in Carpentry or a related building trade.
- Experience within the insurance repairs or restoration sector.
- Knowledge of insurance claim building processes.
