Role Overview Our client, a well‐established global mining company, is seeking an experienced Engineering Department Manager to lead their next phase of growth. This senior‐leadership role will be accountable for the performance and strategic direction of the engineering function, playing a critical part in delivering innovative and practical engineering solutions while driving operational excellence within a globally recognised organisation. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the engineering department, ensuring delivery of projects to high technical and commercial standards Oversee engineering studies and projects from concept design through to execution and delivery Translate process flows into effective and innovative engineering designs Present technical proposals, engineering reports and solutions to clients Develop and implement engineering standards, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and client specifications Collaborate cross‐functionally with technical and operational stakeholders Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies and best practices The Candidate You are a proven engineering leader with deep expertise in mineral processing or heavy minerals, and a passion for delivering high‐quality, practical solutions. *****+ years' experience in engineering, ideally within mining or mineral processing Prior experience in a similar leadership role within heavy minerals or mineral‐processing environments Relevant engineering qualification preferred, but not essential for candidates with strong industry experience Solid leadership experience managing teams and complex projects Demonstrated experience delivering projects from concept through to detailed design and execution Strong commercial acumen and client engagement skills Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical concepts Hands‐on approach with a solid drive for innovation Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‐building skills What's On Offer Opportunity to work with a global mining organisation on complex international projects.
