Fixed Plant Mechanic (Gold Coast)

About the Role Our client is currently looking for an experienced and driven Fixed Plant Mechanic to support asphalt plant operations across South‐East Queensland, with a base at Ormeau. This is a practical, hands‐on position working across a range of fixed asphalt and blending plants, focused on maintaining reliability, safety, and overall operational efficiency. What's on offer Permanent role based out of Ormeau Monday to Friday 38hr week Overtime on offer + penalties per nightshift and weekend work Possibility for regional assignments and occasional weekend work Tool allowance Work Vehicle provided Key Responsibilities Perform diagnosis, repairs, and ongoing maintenance on mechanical systems within fixed asphalt and blending plants Troubleshoot and resolve faults across plant equipment including conveyors, burners, pumps, and associated systems Conduct preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns across fixed and some mobile plant assets Support planned shutdowns and major maintenance activities, including work outside standard operating hours Carry out on‐site repairs as required using a company‐supplied service vehicle Maintain accurate job records, service reports, and compliance documentation Collaborate closely with operations and maintenance teams to minimise downtime and maximise plant performance About You Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fixed Plant Mechanic, or similar Strong fault‐finding and diagnostic capabilities Ability to work autonomously, including in field‐based environments A solid focus on safety and high‐quality workmanship Current driver's licence HR, forklift, EWP, and confined space tickets advantageous #J-*****-Ljbffr Apply on Kit Job: kitjobau.com/job/3reddo
