Big Chief Hire is looking for a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician, based at Ormeau, QLD. This hands‐on role will see you on and off‐site servicing and repairing earthmoving and heavy machinery at client locations across QLD. What You Will Do: Work in the yard and travel to sites when required to service, maintain, and repair plant and machinery, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults Conduct safety inspections and ensure machinery meets operational standards Maintain accurate service records and document repairs thoroughly Work professionally with our clients ensuring they receive professional service delivery at all times What You Will Bring: Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Plant & Machinery, or similar qualification 1–3+ years of hands‐on experience with heavy machinery or field service work Solid problem‐solving skills and mechanical aptitude Valid driver's licence (HR licence or higher preferred) Ability to work independently, travel to sites when required Safety‐first mindset with commitment to OH&S; compliance What We Offer: Competitive industry pay Fully equipped field service vans with state‐of‐the‐art tools Growth opportunities within a high‐performing, family‐owned business Supportive team workplace and training for continual development Northeast Auto Group is an Equal Prospect Employer and welcomes applications from a diverse range of backgrounds.
