The Opportunity We're looking for a senior-level civil expert who brings deep technical expertise, strong commercial acumen, and a hands‐on approach to project delivery. This is a client-side leadership role where you'll oversee civil infrastructure across multiple projects – from early design input through to construction delivery – ensuring quality, efficiency, and performance at every stage. Key Responsibilities Oversee civil contractors across multiple resort developments to ensure safety, scope, and standards are achieved Review and challenge designs to identify value engineering and optimisation opportunities Hold consultants and contractors accountable to timelines, budgets, and quality outcomes Ensure all civil works align with regulatory requirements and GemLife's high standards Collaborate closely with internal development, construction, and leadership teams Travel to project sites to monitor progress and ensure milestones are met What You Bring Significant experience in civil construction, ideally across both contractor and client-side environments Strong technical knowledge across earthworks, services, roadworks, and site infrastructure A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge, problem‐solve, and drive better outcomes Strong stakeholder‐management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels A practical, boots‐on‐the‐ground approach – willing to take ownership and be present on site Key Success Outcomes Civil scopes delivered on time, within budget, and to specification Enhanced project ROI through value engineering and smart decision‐making Early identification and mitigation of risks – no surprises during delivery Continued strengthening of GemLife's reputation for quality and effective delivery Why Join GemLife Work in a high‐growth, ASX‐listed company with solid career progression opportunities Be part of a collaborative team that values your expertise and input Flexible start and finish times Access to Flare retail discounts, Fitness Passport subsidies, and corporate uniform allowance Join a certified Great Place to Work organisation Applicants must have full Australian working rights.
