The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to support and oversee a portfolio of Outside School Hours Care services across a dedicated region and portfolio of services. This is a senior, field-based leadership role suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and making a real impact across multiple services.
You will be a trusted leader for service teams, balancing operational oversight with people leadership, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. This role offers a strong mix of strategy and hands-on support, within a values-driven organization focused on quality and continuous improvement.

About the Role As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of multiple OSHC services within your region. You will support and develop service leaders, ensure regulatory and quality compliance, and work closely with internal teams to drive strong outcomes for children, families and educators. This role involves regular travel across services and requires strong organisation, communication and relationship management skills. You will play a key role in maintaining safe, engaging and well-run environments, while supporting teams to perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the operational performance of multiple OSHC services
• Support, coach and develop service leaders across your region
• Ensure compliance with legislative, quality and child safety requirements
• Build strong relationships with families, schools and key stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement across service quality and utilization
About You You are a confident and capable leader with experience managing teams across multiple sites. You bring a practical, values-led approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance competing priorities.
You will likely have experience in OSHC, early childhood, or a similar regulated care environment, and enjoy working in a role that combines leadership, relationship management and operational oversight.
What you bring
- Diploma or higher in Children’s Services or an approved equivalent
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid and child safety certifications
- Previous multi-site leadership experience in OSHC or early childhood with demonstrated leadership capability
- Excellent communication, organisation, decision making, and problem solving skills Child safety
We are a child protected organisation. Employment is subject to a valid WWCC and reference checks, consistent with QLD requirements for child related work.
