The focus of this role is to help build the self‑esteem of children, enhance their confidence and provide professional swimming and water safety instruction in a fun, safe and nurturing environment. We want swimming lessons to be the best part of a child's day! Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accredited GELSwim programs in line with organisational standards and teaching frameworks.
- Implement GEL policies and procedures to ensure a safe, secure and inclusive environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
- Provide supervision, guidance and leadership to GELSwim students during lessons, promoting a positive and engaging learning experience.
- Communicate effectively with parents, offering constructive feedback on student progress and development.
- Assess students’ abilities to ensure appropriate class placement within the Learn to Swim program.
- Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills, fostering positive relationships with students, families, and the wider community. About You To be successful in this position, we are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about creating exceptional experiences for our swim community, going the extra mile to make every GELSwim interaction meaningful.
- Thinks creatively and embraces innovation, always looking for current ways to enhance how we serve and support our swim students.

- Is ready to grow into a leadership role, contributing to Swim’s continued success and helping guide us toward an exciting future. Qualifications
- Current Austswim Certificate of Swimming and Water Safety OR Swim Australia Teacher (SAT) OR LSV Swimming and Water Safety
- CPR Qualification (HLTAID009)
- Employee Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
