About the role Join Austin’s Corporate Finance Team as a Financial Analyst based in Kewdale. Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager the Financial Analyst will play a key role within Austin's Corporate team, supporting financial reporting, management reporting, and accounting operations across the group. Duties
- Contribute to the preparation and review of monthly management packs
- Provide insights into trends and variances across business units
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, strengthen controls, and leverage automation tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Understand and interpret data and succinctly summarise explanations for variance analysis
- Combine high attention to detail and strong commercial awareness to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines Skills & experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA or CA qualification is highly desirable
- Experience preparing and reviewing monthly management reporting and presenting financial data clearly for senior management, executive teams, and board reporting using power point
- Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, data modelling, and ideally Power Query or Power BI
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS/AASB, month-end, reconciliations and controls
- A proactive approach to process improvement and automation
