The Role We require Qualified Experienced Technician to join our ever growing Berwick Ford Dealership. This is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday (early finish 3.00pm on Fridays) with the availability of a Saturday as per the roster. - Carry out vehicle repairs and/or maintenance as per repair order and to Vehicle Manufacturer, Dealership and Customer requirements;
- Maintain a sound knowledge of all Dealership products and services;
- Be responsible for the care and use of all workshop tools and equipment and return to correct place after use, whilst keeping an up to date complete tool kit of your own
- Fill all related paperwork as per dealership standards;
- Return vehicles in a clean condition after repairs;
- Suggest training and tooling needs to Workshop Controller/Service Manager;
- Attend training programs as required to maintain technical knowledge; To be considered for this position you will possess the following:
- Full Victorian driver’s licence (manual)
- Qualifications in motor mechanics with 2 years + experience
- High attention to detail and ability to read and understand instructions
- Be physically fit
- Prior diagnostic and general repair experience will be advantageous
- RWC, licence tester, but not essential The right candidate will be a mature minded and competent mechanic with proven general service and repair experience, good knowledge in modern automotive systems and a strong customer service focus. Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be able to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
