We are looking for an experienced Food Services Team Leader to join our friendly kitchen team Part time permanent position 60 hours per fortnight

**Week 1**

Mon: 9am to 3:30pm

Tue: 9am to 3:30pm

Wed: 1pm to 7:30pm

Thurs: 1pm to 7:30pm

Fri: 9am to 3:30pm

**Week 2**

Mon: 9am to 3:30pm

Tue: 9am to 3:30pm

Wed: 7am to 1:30pm

Thurs: 7am to 1:30pm

Fri: 9am to 3:30pm

$28.09 p/hour + 11.5% Superannuation + Not for profit salary packaging The position is based in Birkdale

**About the role...**

We are looking for a Food Service Team Leader for our Residential Aged Care Facility in Birkdale. The successful incumbent will adequately oversee the food services operation in consultation with both Chef Team Leader and consultant Dietitian to ensure nutritional needs of our elders are met.

The Food Service Team Leader will ensure training needs and instruction of Food Services staff are met, ensure catering supplies are stored in an appropriate manner in accordance with regulations, meeting food safety requirements. The role will also hold responsibility for ensuring the cleanliness of kitchenettes is maintained in accordance with relevant legislation and food in appetizing and reflects our Elder's preferences.

**About you...**

You will excel in your ability to manage time. You will be self-motivated with a flexible, caring, patient attitude. Your preparedness to work to the 10 principles of the Eden Alternative philosophy, advantageous.

**Qualifications**
- Current Food Safety Supervisor/Food Handling Certificate

**Skills**:

- The ability to supervise and give clear direction to staff
- Ability to work in accordance with Health regulations and the Food Safety Act
- Knowledge of dietary requirements for the elderly
- The ability and proficiency to cater for 180 plus people
- The ability to liaise with and put into practice recommendations made by the dietitian
- The ability to present a variety of meals in an appealing way
- Ability review and participate in audits of food handling procedures across MiCare
- Experience in training of food handling for staff highly regarded
- Demonstrated computer skills including accuracy and numeric skills preferred
- The ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner within an ethno-specific environment

**A police check with no disclosable outcome, current flu vaccination and a COVID-19 vaccination is required by MiCare for this position.**

**A commitment to work exclusively with MiCare Residential Aged Care facility as your only employer during COVID-19 will be highly regarded.**
