Production Supervisor – Electrical (Huntingwood)

- Electrical at Weidmuller Pty Ltd, the role's main purpose is the assembly, wiring testing and inspection; Supervision of Electrical Contractors; and Allocation of work for Electrical Cabinet construction for CSA. What you'll be doing
- Active involvement with, and Supervising the Team, in the Cabinet Assembly area
- Scheduling jobs
- Buying and managing consumable parts stock
- During production ensure only approved drawings are used and ensure any marked-up drawings including final inspection drawings are approved by the responsible Engineer.
- Routing Sheets managing
- Manage Free Issue Stock
- Customer Visits and In office Assistance
- Final Inspection/Point to Point Testing
- In-house FAT assistance
- Printing Identification Labels and Markers
- Approve time sheets & leave applications for staff under supervision.
- 5S Implementation
- Responsible for the Occupational Health and safety in the panel area.
- Provide support in finalising postproduction paperwork, i.e. scanning and filing where required.
- Ensure packaging of product produced from the panel area is of a standard applicable to the shipping requirements and all paperwork is completed and passed to dispatch when needed.
- Promoting safety in all areas by participating in the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) processes, attending training where necessary, and by open discussions with members of the EHS committee.
- Participate actively in the maintaining of the companies QMS system through input for continual improvement of processes and procedures.
- Any other duties/projects as required by management. What we're looking for
- Electrical license required
- 3-5 years experience in a similar field
- Supervisory Experience
- Electrical Knowledge and an understanding of Electrical Standards and Test Methodologies
- Ability to interpret drawings
- Attention to detail, analytical and numeracy skills
- Self-motivated and organised
- Able to work without supervision, prioritise and manage a busy workload
