Machine Operator (Arndell Park)

**The Role**

SURTECO is looking for Extrusion Operators to join our team in Arndell Park. The role will see you work within a supportive team, operating the extrusion process. Training and development initiatives will be available to provide the chance to learn various facets of the extrusion process.

The role is full time employment, 38 hours per week. There’s a choice of 3 shifts, morning, afternoon, and night, however, a degree of flexibility will be required from time to time. Weekend work is also available.

Day
- 6:00am
- 2:00pm

Afternoon
- 2:00pm-10:00pm

Night
- 10:00pm
- 6:00am

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure extrusion lines are running to current settings and procedures
- Packing items at the end of the line
- Undertake the colour matching process
- Complete quality checks
- Responsible for the equipment and area assigned
- Ensure health and safety standards are adhered too
- Identify, recommend, and implement continuous improvement

**The Individual**
- Must have a “can do” attitude
- Undertakes duties with a workmanship like manner
- Experience as a Plastic Extrusion Operator or Printer will be highly regarded
- Knowledge of quality control
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Positive, can-do attitude and willing to support all members of the team
- Self-starter and excellent communication skills
- A team player and can work autonomously

**Experience**:

- Extrusion Operator: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
