CNC Mill Operator / Setter (Regency Park)

Hercus Pty Ltd is currently seeking a CNC Milling Machinist to program and operate our CNC Milling section. Hercus has a combination of both Vertical and Horizontal CNC Mills, that allow us to machine gear cases up to 7 tonnes. All of our Vertical Mills have 4th axis machining capabilities. Both Fanuc and Mazak controllers are used, in conjunction with Solid Works & Hypermill software packages. Hercus offers the complete system. Hercus Pty Ltd is heavily involved in providing products to the mining, manufacturing, agriculture, food production, maritime and power generation sectors; which in turns provides a variety of different machining opportunities from week to week. Permanent position will become available after an agreed trial period. Who You are
- Will need a trade qualification in "Certification III in Engineering" or show relevant experience Programming & Operating on either a CNC Lathe or Mill
- Be fully conversant in Fanuc & Mazatrol control languages with experience in shop-floor programming in a medium or large capacity jobbing environment.
- Able to comprehensively read and understand engineering drawings.
- Able to use measuring instruments (working with metric and imperial measurements)
- Be prompt, reliable, efficient & ability to effectively work unsupervised.
- Have a skilled attitude and a sound work ethic.
- Candidates with experience in horizontal boring / machining will be preferred
