COMMIS CHEFThe Little French Deli & Bistro – Bonbeach We are looking for a motivated and passionate Commis Chef to join our small, dedicated team at The Little French Deli & Bistro in Bonbeach. This role is ideal for someone who wants to continue developing their skills in a chef-led environment focused on classic technique, quality produce, and creating food people genuinely enjoy eating. You’ll work across both our deli and bistro operations with exposure to breakfast, lunch, dinner service and occasional events. What we offer

- Stable hours and a supportive kitchen environment About the role Reporting directly to the Head Chef / Owner, you will assist with daily kitchen operations including:
- Food preparation and service across breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Maintaining consistency and presentation standards
- Supporting section chefs during busy services
- Assisting with menu testing and development
- Ordering, stock rotation and minimising waste
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures About you
- Passion for cooking and learning
- Previous commercial kitchen experience preferred (Commis Chef or strong Kitchen Hand ready to step up)
- Interest in French cuisine and classical cooking techniques is highly regarded
- Able to work efficiently in a small team environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute ideas
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Australian working rights (Permanent Resident or visa with minimum 2 years remaining preferred) Hours Approximately 38 hours per week across a combination of straight and split shifts.
