Are you passionate about baking, excited to help people with disabilities gain skill and experience and skilled at leading a team?

Friendship Bakery is seeking a Production Lead to work with a team of aspiring bakers with and without disabilities at a neighbourhood retail bakery to produce high-end artisan baked goods and connect with the community.

Role Overview: As Production Lead, you oversee production, quality control, and team development, working closely with the Program Manager to support skills growth in the bakery. You’ll lead daily operations, manage ingredients and supplies, maintain a clean and safe environment, and encourage skill-building among participants.

Key Responsibilities:

- Team Leadership: Foster a positive, inclusive work environment, coach team members, and ensure regular communication across channels.
- Production Management: Produce and package high-quality baked goods, manage workflows and schedules, and maintain cost-effective stock levels.
- Quality Control: Oversee product quality, conduct inspections, and resolve any customer complaints professionally.
- Training and Development: Train participants in baking techniques and food safety, supporting their skills and confidence in the workplace.
- Safety and Risk Management: Ensure WHS compliance, report risks, and contribute to a safe work environment.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in Baking or Pastries
- Strong communication, organisational, and customer service skills
- Problem-solving and management experience
- Ability to use technology and perform secure manual handling
- First Aid and Food Safety Certification, Police Check

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $30.00
- $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20
- 30 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
