Deli & Cafe Assistant (Rosebery)

**The Venue**

Located in the heart of Rosebery, DELI REPUBLIC is the combination of a traditional old-world deli and a fast-paced cafe. Situated within The Cannery complex, the hub of food, drinks and creative arts, it includes neighbours like Archie Rose, Black Star Pastry, Three Blue Ducks, Banh Xeo Bar and Gelato Messina.

Inspired by the Deli’s of New York our full deli counter has a full range of premium smallgoods, cheese, dips, antipasto and more from the best local and international producers. The kitchen crafts everything from tasty Reubens to panini, bagels, baked goods, condiments, sauces, and more.

**The Role**

We are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused **team member** to join our team in the role of **all-rounder Deli & Cafe Team Member**. This is a multi-faceted role involving customer service, coffee, food service and deli service with cheese, smallgoods handling, slicing and packing.

Previous experience as a barista and/or experience in smallgoods/cheese slicer machinery would be beneficial.

**Requirements**:

- Background in food or hospitality is essential
- Experience in smallgoods/cheese would be advantageous
- Passion and enthusiasm for valuable food and customer service with a good attitude and a willingness to learn
- Effective communication in a team environment and can follow directions and be part of a larger team
- Experience in coffee pouring, coffee art is beneficial.
- Love to work under pressure in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
- Assist customers with orders and purchases in-store
- Comfortable using a POS system
- Maintain a clean environment
- Reliability and punctuality with a high standard of personal presentation
- Must have working rights in Australia
- Must be fluent in English
