Production Technician/assembler - Night Shift (Rosebery)

We have the opportunity for an experienced Production Technician to join the Production team. The Production team's role is to contribute to the manufacturing team in the assembly of precision optical and mechanical components used to build complex modules used in communication systems.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Data entry of materials use and work orders into the ERP system;
- Operate equipment and perform tasks efficiently so as to meet deadlines;
- Maintain a clean work environment and assist in maintaining the level of cleanliness; and
- Perform duties as requested by management.

**Essential Skills**
- Work cooperatively in a team environment with demanding goals to meet output targets;
- The ability and willingness to rapidly learn new complex assembly processes;
- Versatile to be assigned to work on a range of processes dependant on production needs;
- The ability to follow written work instructions;
- Good manual dexterity and patience;
- The ability for clear written and spoken communication; and
- Experienced in the manufacture of products under a defined quality system.

An understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and 3 to 4 years of experience as an operator in a high tech manufacturing organisation operating under ISO standards is highly desirable.
