We’re looking for a Production Manager with real food manufacturing experience, who is comfortable working in both a leadership and hands-on role, coordinating staff, running daily production, and ensuring operational excellence.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this full-time position involves managing and participating in daily production activities, maintaining food safety systems, and ensuring output targets are met across quality, cost, and efficiency.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating schedules, supervising staff, supporting process improvements, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety, equipment maintenance, and production reporting are met.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and coordinate daily production schedules, ensuring targets for quantity, quality, cost, and timing are met
- Supervise and participate in blending and cooking processes
- Maintain and adjust staff rosters to meet production needs
- Monitor production output, materials, and labour use, making adjustments as required
- Ensure all production is carried out in line with SQF, HACCP, GMP and WHS practices
- Complete and submit production records and monthly maintenance reports
- Report and coordinate equipment servicing or repair needs
- Promote a robust culture of safe work practices and food safety compliance
- Oversee and guide production staff, supporting performance and development
- Liaise with management teams to align production with broader business goals

**What You’ll Need**
- At least 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment (essential)
- HACCP Food Handlers Certificate (minimum requirement)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work in hands-on production roles
- Sound understanding of SQF systems, HACCP principles, WHS, and GMP standards
- Excellent coordination, time management, and communication skills
