Schedule and Data Analyst – fixed‑term (12‑24 months) This position is responsible for critical data analysis and is required to draft, implement and manage ongoing maintenance of the airline schedules for all dnata Flight Catering units across Australia. The process is centrally managed by the National Data & Planning team. Day to day responsibilities Working closely with the Schedule & Forecast Planner and the National Data & Planning team, the analyst will analyze schedule and forecast performance, consulting with Workforce Planning and Finance Business Partners, extracting and analyzing reports from QAD, JDE, Groundstar and other catering systems. They will also assist in menu and meal policy creation and application within ERP systems as required. Key responsibilities
- Airline schedule creation, including forecasts for increases or changes to flight data and applying changes into systems.
- Using Power BI and Excel to create data models and upload information into ERP.
- Analyzing schedule management for improvement and optimisation.
- Analyzing performance for each airline client and identifying new opportunities.
- Collaborating with Catering Schedule Coordinators (CoCos) to ensure timely data flow.
- Assisting with menu building and airline schedule implementation as required.
- Participating in weekly briefings, planning sessions, and presentations for end‑of‑month or quarterly budgeting forecasts.
- Supporting the National Manager, Data & Planning across additional projects. Success factors
- Demonstrated success in a similar role.
- Experience in volume data analysis and scheduling/forecasting metrics.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Business Analytics, Supply Chain, Workforce Planning, or related discipline. Food manufacturing or aviation experience desirable.
- Hands‑on experience with ERPs such as JDE, QAD, MFG‑Pro.
- Advanced Excel modelling and reporting skills, including SQL and database queries.
- Strong communication with all levels of stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn new systems rapidly.
- Industry knowledge preferred but not essential.
- Highly analytical and numerical aptitude with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Mature reasoning and approach to complex tasks. Advantages
