About The Opportunity As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and compliance of their business and taxation work. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing business and tax files to ensure full compliance with ATO and legislative requirements
- Mentoring and supporting graduate accountants to build strong technical and problem-solving capabilities
- Managing workflow and job progression to ensure all tasks are completed within required deadlines
- Communicating with clients by providing advice, consulting support, and responding to queries effectively
- Overseeing BAS lodgements and compliance deadlines to ensure accurate and timely submissions About You The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in public practise accounting, specifically in business services and taxation.
- Relevant accounting qualification and CPA/CA certification
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and ATO compliance requirements and standards
- Proven experience mentoring junior accountants and managing client relationships effectively
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Proactive approach with confidence in client interactions and professional communication skills
- Experience reviewing junior work and exposure to complex tax matters for business and individuals
- Client advisory experience with SMSFs and familiarity with software such as Xero and Simple Fund What's in it for You?
