01st May, 2026 Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, stretching from Ingham in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West, and Palm Island to the East. We have grown to include 6 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens, and 14 Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services.

About the position Working closely with the school community, St Mary’s Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) provides an engaging, interactive, and educational after-school care program that extends each school day. The St Mary’s team is a welcoming, family-friendly environment where the door is always open.

We are seeking a passionate and motivated OSHC Educator to join our team on a casual basis, commencing as soon as practicable. This position offers a minimum of 10.5 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours as operational needs grow.

You will be a valued Educator who delivers high-quality practices to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children. Each day, our team creates fun, playful, and interactive experiences tailored to the needs and interests of every child. You will play an key role in building strong, lasting relationships with children and their families in Bowen.

What you’ll need to succeed:

- Minimum Cert III approved ACECQA qualification or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or working towards. equivalentKeen interest in working within the childcare/education sector
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current First Aid Certificate Including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis or ability to obtain before commencement
