About the Role
BMA's Hay Point Terminal offers an experienced Production Supervisor the chance to lead a production team. The role reports to the Superintendent Production and focuses on safe, efficient production in line with daily schedules.
Responsibilities
The ability and courage to lead change and develop high‑performing crews.
Demonstrate and instil a commitment to health, safety, setting responsibility and sustainable development.
Supervise the execution of the weekly production schedule.
Identify and implement improvement initiatives with support from Production Analysis and Improvement.
Liaise with pilots, shipping agents and other personnel involved in ship handling and directly supervise the onshore activities of vessel arrival and departure.
Manage a small team of BMA and contract employees.
Supervise minor civil works.
About You
Experience in the coal industry, especially port production, is desirable but not essential.
Strong understanding of the risks of a supervisory position and SHMS, with experience in risk management investigations.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
Ability to develop relationships with multiple functions and senior leadership.
Ability to obtain and retain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
