- Operate plant and machinery for Services works, ensuring high standards of quality, safety and timeliness
- Undertake a variety of works including road patching, excavation, grading, compacting and general earthmoving
- Assist with services repairs and general labouring as requiredParticipate in emergency response works, including after heavy rain or cyclone events
- Accurately record labour hours, machine hours, materials and work details
- Maintain the security, cleanliness and daily servicing of allocated vehicles and machinery
- Support traffic control activities and maintain safe work practices at all times What we’re looking for You’re an experienced and safety‑focused Plant Operator who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering high‑quality work. You’re adaptable, reliable, and comfortable responding to emergency works when required, and you’re ready to enjoy the lifestyle that comes with island living. To be successful, you’ll need
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating earthmoving and plant equipment
- HR Truck Licence (Essential)
- Construction White Card (Essential)
- Ability to obtain and hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) (Essential)
- Non-slewing Crane Licence (Desirable)
- Mobile Crane, Grader, Forklift and Plant Batching licences (Desirable)
