- Enjoy staff perks including discounts and $15/week gym membership Your Role As a Demi Chef, you will support the senior kitchen team in preparing, presenting, and executing dishes across Bommie’s à la carte and tasting menus. You’ll work across multiple sections, refine your technical skills, uphold Bommie’s uncompromising standards, and contribute to delivering unforgettable dining experiences for our guests. Where you’ll make an impact
- Prepare and cook dishes to hatted‑restaurant standards
- Support à la carte and tasting menu execution
- Assist with mise en place, section setup, and service
- Maintain exceptional food presentation and consistency
- Uphold food hygiene, safety, and WH&S; standards
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen
- Contribute ideas for specials and seasonal menu development
- Work closely with chefs across multiple sections including grill, garnish, larder, and pastry What we’re looking for You are an enthusiastic, detail‑focused chef who thrives in a high‑end, fast‑paced kitchen. You have a strong passion for contemporary Australian cuisine, enjoy working as part of a qualified team, and are eager to elevate your craft in a prestigious venue. To be successful, you will need:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Essential)
- Previous experience in a fine‑dining or high‑volume kitchen
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn from senior chefs
- Ability to work a rotating roster including nights and weekends
