The Role

To work as a member of the cleaning team to undertake routine and other cleaning duties at the College campus to ensure learning and teaching spaces, amenities, halls and common staff areas are cleaned to the expected standard.

Experience and skills
- The capacity to conduct cleaning activities of various facilities located within the College campus
- Prior cleaning experience will be highly regarded but not essential
- The capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team and at times autonomously
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid NSW Drivers Licence

Other
- Permanent part-time position (50 hours per fortnight), 48 weeks per year. Need to be available for the afternoon shift currently 2pm
- 7pm Monday to Friday.
- Salary and conditions will be as per the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Support Staff
- Model B) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023.

Reports to This role reports to the Cleaning Supervisor for day-to-day duties and the Director of

Enterprise Services for employment related matters.

- conduct themselves in accordance with the _Code of Conduct for Staff_, adhere to all

college policies, the requirements of their employment contract and carry out the duties and responsibilities stated in this role description.

General Cleaning staff work as members of the cleaning team responsible for ensuring the College learning and teaching spaces, amenities, halls and common staff areas are cleaned to the expected standard.

Duties and
- Undertake routine and other cleaning duties as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to carry out tasks efficiently and productively through

cooperation, flexibility, clear communication and commitment to task
- Follow all college dress and PPE requirements applicable to the role including:

- Wearing suitable clothing, uniform if required and closed in shoes
- Wearing task appropriate PPE
- Tying back long hair
- Covering cuts and wounds
- Observe and follow all College safe work procedures/ instructions
- Read and follow all manufacturer’s instructions for the safe use of chemicals and the

safe operation of equipment and machinery prior to use
- Only use equipment that is in good working order and advise the Supervisor of any equipment that requires repairs or maintenance
- Report any identified property/ equipment damage to the Supervisor at the earliest opportunity
- Undertake and complete training as directed by the College

members of the public who enter a workplace. Achievement of WHS objectives depends on the cooperative efforts of everyone concerned.

Staff must:

- take care to protect their own health and safety, and that of their fellow workers and students at the college
- comply with statutory requirements, college policies and procedures and all lawful

instructions of managerial and supervisory staff
- wear/use personal protective equipment (PPE) when identified by signage, work

procedures/instructions (including operating manuals and product directions), or a

directive from a supervisor
- ensure that when operating plant and equipment that it is operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and college safe operating procedures
