Box Hill South Pre School is a warm and inviting, not for profit Community Kindergarten. We offer an exciting, engaging and stimulating play-based program delivered by enthusiastic and passionate educators for sessional 3YO and 4YO groups. Our purpose-built kindergarten is situated in a peaceful and natural setting and shares the wonderful facilities of Box Hill South Family Centre. Total of 26.25 hours per week comprising of 21 Contact hours and 5.25 Non Contact hours. Please see break down of hours below.

**Description**

Box Hill South Pre School is looking for a Cert III/ Diploma qualified kindergarten educator to fill a permanent part time role in our 4-year-old group.

Are you a recent graduate with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or working towards their Masters in Early Childhood Education?

Are you eager to gain hands-on experience in a nurturing and high-quality sessional kindergarten environment?

Potential for Casual/Relief Work on Additional Days,

Specific hours are: 26.25 hrs per week which consists of 21 hrs contact time

Session times are 8.30am-4.00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

0.5 hr Non-contact before and after the sessions for set up and pack down (3hr total).

Additional non-contact time of 2.25hr is to be completed at a mutually agreeable day and time for program documentation, and reflective discussion.

Additional hours include:

- 2hr per term for staff meetings (AH Online)
- 1/2 hr fortnightly for planning meetings (On site)

**Qualifications**

**To be successful, you need to**:

- Demonstrate experience in early childhood education (including in a sessional kindergarten) and working in a small and supportive team setting.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrate understanding of VEYLDF, Child Safe Standards and Practices and active contribution in the implementation of the QIP.
- Demonstrate ability to contribute to planning and delivering a high-quality educational program.

Have current working with children check and police check, mandatory reporting/ child protection.
- Current first aid, asthma, anaphylaxis, and CPR.
- Cert111 or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Working toward their Masters in Early Childhood Education
