The Role We are seeking an experienced Casual Grounds Maintenance / Gardener to support the upkeep of multiple sites centred around Bracken Ridge. This is a hands-on role requiring a blend of horticultural skill and general maintenance, perfect for someone who enjoys a variety of tasks. What’s on Offer?

- Horticultural Maintenance: Execute mowing, edging, and weeding programs; prune hedges and small trees; and implement soil improvement/fertilising plans.
- Plant Health: Identify and control pests, diseases, and weeds.
- Equipment & Irrigation: Operate and maintain petrol and electronic tools; conduct basic repairs to irrigation systems and garden infrastructure.
- Site Presentation: Pressure wash paths, clean bin bays, and perform pool testing/cleaning.
- Safety & Compliance: Clear debris from common areas, identify/rectify hazards, and ensure minimal disruption to residents.
- Projects: Assist with ad hoc tasks like turf laying or grounds improvement projects. What You Bring (Essential)
- Experience: Demonstrated background in skilled plant and lawn maintenance, including the use of mowers and small engine equipment.
- Transport: A current Open Manual Driver’s License and your own reliable vehicle (essential for travel between multiple local sites).
- Physical Fitness: Capability to perform manual labour in outdoor conditions, including the Queensland summer heat.
- Reliability: A personal commitment to safe manual handling, WHS obligations, and a professional appearance.
- Compliance: You must be willing to undergo a criminal history check. Desirable
- Qualifications: Certificate III in Parks and Gardens (or equivalent).
- Climate Knowledge: A strong understanding of South-East Queensland’s sub-tropical climate and soil conditions.
