Description
Work at heights on mobile phone base station structures to install antenna’s, feeders and ancillary equipment
- Installation of antenna mounts on rooftops, poles and towers using ropes, winches and rigging equipment
- Work with cranes, cherry pickers and EWPs as required to carry out works on site
- Carry out manual labour of various descriptions to complete the works as required
- Carry out rigging techniques to install steelwork on structures, including the requirement to climb Monopoles, towers and guyed masts with 100% attachment at all times
- Installation of a range of feeder RF cables and hybrid.
- Terminate communication cables of various types and sizes, assist with testing cables for compliance with specifications
- Installation of earth kits and waterproofing of connectors
- Installation of earth systems
- Labelling and tagging identification on feeders and tails
- Installation of Hybrid fibre cable for RRU equipment
- Ensure the site is maintained in a clean, tidy and accessible state at all times
- Work with the Crew Manager on creating an productive way to complete the tasks
- Maintain daily records of activities and times
- Be responsible for technical duties on site including installation, commissioning and integration of RAN, TX and Microwave equipment on site to vendor and client specifications
- Carry out call testing, performance monitoring and other acceptance testing as per vendor and client requirement
- Labelling and tagging identification on feeders, tails, jumpers and other cabling to client specifications
- Assist with the installation of Microwave Antenna and Outdoor systems
- Complete antenna sweeps for PIM, Distance-to-Fault (DTF), Standing Wave Ratio (SWR) and Return Loss (RL) for antenna systems to ensure specifications are within limits.
- Assist rigging team as required.
- Troubleshooting, fault finding, defect rectification works as required to provide a quality product to the client.
- Inspect and maintain tools and equipment, ensure test equipment is maintained within calibration dates
- Ensure the site is maintained in a clean, tidy and accessible state
- Installations, relocation, additions, changes, diagnostics, maintenance and repair support for customer Telecommunications equipment and systems;
- Install, commission, diagnose, repair and maintain of Radio Network systems;
- Install, commission, diagnose, repair and maintain of Mobile Data Networks; Installation and maintenance of broadcast, radio, cellular, Wi-Fi, digital networks;
- Conducting line of sight surveys;
- Ensuring all tasks are good quality workmanship and SLA's are met;
- Inspecting completed works and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards;
- Ensuring that all company supplied vehicles, test equipment, tools and PPE are taken care of and maintained in a serviceable condition;
- Assisting a small team of Technicians / Riggers to perform installation or maintenance activities with the highest efficiency, productivity and quality.
Pay: $70,000.00
- $90,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
**Experience**:
- Telecommunications: 2 years (required)
Work Authorisation:
