Project Engineer – Electrical & Communications

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join CV Infrastructure Services, supporting the delivery of electrical and communications projects. This role offers a balance of office-based design work and in office involvement, working closely with internal design teams and construction partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, accurately, and to specification.

About The Role

As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role across the full project lifecycle—from site investigations and design development through to construction support and final certification. Review existing electrical and communications installations to inform design outcomes Conduct maximum demand assessments for current and existing installations Undertake LV and communications site investigations to verify as‑constructed information Prepare high‑quality technical reports, specifications, Bills of Quantities, and tender documentation Manage and support a design team of engineers and draftspersons to deliver detailed IFC designs Provide technical support to electrical contractors during construction to ensure compliance with design documentationSupervise and verify installations at hold and witness points, including review of photos, test sheets, and checklists Assist with final works package certification Attend, document, and contribute to Safety in Design workshops

Qualifications Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Diploma of Electrical Engineering Queensland Electrical Licence (current or previous)

Experience & Skills Practical, hands‑on understanding of electrical works 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role within the electrical and communications field Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD Experience using LV maximum demand software Construction supervision experience Safety in Design experience Proven ability to prepare technical reports and design specification documentation
