About Us
The Gardens Club is a vibrant café and unique events venue nestled in the beautiful Brisbane City Botanic Gardens. Operating 7 days a week, we’re more than just a hospitality business — we’re a certified social enterprise and not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating training and employment opportunities for individuals facing barriers to work.
In addition to our thriving café trade, we host a variety of events including weddings, corporate workshops, and private celebrations in a truly one-of-a-kind setting.
The Prospect
We’re on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Casual Chef to join our small and passionate team. This is a fantastic chance to be part of a close-knit crew where your ideas and initiative are valued.
Key Responsibilities Assist the kitchen team with daily operations and food preparation Cooking a selection of breakfast and casual dining options, and baked goods Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety Assist with stock ordering Support catering for weddings and corporate events (experience a bonus)
About You Cert IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent work experience (mandatory) Previous experience in a similar chef role A team player with a positive attitude and solid work ethic Passionate about good food and making a difference in the community Available to work a rotating 7 day roster (limited evening/night work required) Unfortunately we’re unable to accept student visa holders for this role
