Position Full-time fixed-term position for up to 12 months in the School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences (UQ). Base salary $95k – $102k + 17% super (HEW Level 6). Based at St Lucia Campus. About This Opportunity We are seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Coordinator to join the A-START team at The University of Queensland. This role contributes to an innovative applied research program delivering clinically‑informed sport and physical activity programs for people with a range of diagnoses, support needs, and functional abilities. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating and delivering clinically‑informed sport and physical activity programmes including assessment, design, delivery, and reporting.
- Supporting research activities through accurate and secure recording of clinical and outcome data, enabling analysis and reporting.
- Assisting with ethics submissions, study documentation, participant management, and clinical reporting.
- Delivering safe, engaging sport and activity sessions for participants with diverse support needs.
- Maintaining accurate clinical and research data in line with ethical and regulatory requirements.
- Working collaboratively with participants, families, support workers, clinicians, students, and researchers.
- Ensuring clear, timely communications within the team and with all relevant parties.
- Supporting recruitment activities, participant engagement, and trial coordination.
- Mentoring junior staff and students within the A-START applied research environment. About You Qualified in Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, or Occupational Therapy and registered with the relevant Allied Health professional body.
- Experience working across the lifespan and with diverse diagnostic groups, including severe impairments and high support needs.
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical programme delivery, leadership, and citizenship.
- Proven ability to work effectively within multi‑professional and research team environments.
- Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills, including drafting research protocols and reports.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing competing priorities and meeting project timelines.
- Strong record of reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to high ethical standards and confidentiality. Unrestricted work rights in Australia are required. Employer sponsored work rights are not available.
