Security Officer (Brisbane)

About the role Casual opportunity to Provide high quality, timely and appropriate levels of security, fire protection and safety services to Kallangur Satellite Hospital as required to ensure the protection of persons, the protection of property, the prevention of crime, the preservation of the peace and the protection of information. Assist clinical staff in the management of problematic persons, security incidents and events, and fire and emergency incidents which may include liaison with Emergency Services About you
- Provide comprehensive security services and assistance to patients, visitors, staff and contractors whilst at the same time protecting the physical assets of the MNHHS.
- Prioritise tasks and respond to requests for security and/or emergency assistance in accordance with Queensland Health, Health Service, Facility and Unit guidelines, policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Prevention, intervention, investigation and recording of crime within the Health Service as defined by statute law, including but not limited to theft, wilful damage, assault, trespass, and public nuisance offences.
- Provide a first response presence to all emergency situations.
- Provide traffic, smoking and other controls as outlined in the Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011 and the Tobacco and Other Smoking Products Act 1998, including directing and/or physically escorting disorderly persons off Health Services land.
