**Duties** Reporting directly to the General Manager you will:
- Be on the floor managing unskilled & semi-skilled staff, coaching and mentoring
- Leading & developing specialist fabrication and stores teams
- creating an accountability framework
- Track & manage multiple jobs at any one time at various stages from sourcing raw material to cutting & assembly through to despatch
- Ensure preventative maintenance in place for tools & specialised equipment
*** **Skills & experience**
- Experience in a hands-on role, you will need to manage your time and want to be ‘on the floor’ more than you are ‘in the office’
- balancing these demands appropriately
- Experience as a Production, Fabrication or Operations Manager in a job shopping setting
- Skilled in the coaching of small specialist teams from unskilled & semi-skilled workers
- Belief in & involvement with quality systems i.e. Lean, 5S
