Role Overview

Production Manager for the F&T; plant in Wacol, QLD responsible for night‑shift operations manufacturing timber frames, floors and roof trusses. The plant opened in early 2024 and began the night shift in August 2025. The role includes recruitment, training, development, implementation of new equipment, and engagement with local community.

Responsibilities

Recruit, train and develop a team of 20‑35 staff across night shift (2:30 pm‑10:30 pm).

Action on customer feedback to improve end‑to‑end customer experience.

Manage P&L; for the F&T; Plant.

Raise safety awareness, identify and correct unsafe situations.

Manage stock, financial performance and customer expectations.

Drive future of F&T; at Bunnings through local strategies and business plans.

Monitor and measure customer service levels, liaise with Commercial Sales teams to educate them on manufacturing capabilities.

Streamline processes and manage internal expectations as the plant grows.

Qualifications

Solid knowledge of frame & truss, construction or manufacturing.

Previous experience leading large teams with focus on Health and Safety and Manufacturing Efficiency.

Solid understanding of P&L; reporting and KPIs (margin, timelines, sales).

Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and develop large teams.

Strong communication and leadership skills.
