Supply and Distribution Manager (Brendale)

We are looking for a punctual, customer driven Supply and Distribution Manager with
- A leader with a positive, can-do attitude who is capable of managing supply and inventory through overseeing the compiling and maintaining of records on the amount, type and value of commodity, to ensure delivery in full on time to customers. This includes working with shippers at origin and consignees to ensure all ethical steps are taken to provide the best shipping routes that meet the urgency of the commodity.

Tasks Include:

- Review existing distribution policies and plans.
- Oversee execution of distribution policies/plans.
- Ensure records are kept of all purchases.
- Monitor storage strategies of goods.
- Negotiating contracts and rates with agents/shipping lines to honour the best price and delivery times to clients.
- Use online systems to track all movements such as; containers departing origin, in transit and monitoring ETA’s.
- Re-ordering with suppliers, when applicable to do so.
- Liaising with Shipping Lines, Suppliers, Agents, Quarantine Customs and Clients.
- Overseeing bookings and purchase orders.
- Meeting client’s requirements and working under pressure for urgent shipments/airfreights.

The key to this role is robust administration, analytical and leadership skills, developing key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders while continuing to manage and lead the inventory management functions.

Pay: $75,000.00
- $85,000.00 per year
