Overview

At Aurecon, an Australian‑owned design, engineering and advisory company with a proud history of client‑asset management across the full lifecycle, we are seeking a Data Engineer & Asset Management Consultant to join our national Asset Management Advisory team.

Responsibilities

Support end‑to‑end project delivery, from analysis to client engagement and measurable outcomes.

Translate technical data and insights into transparent, actionable advice for clients.

Contribute solutions across asset management strategies, decision‑making, performance improvement, system design and asset condition assessments.

Collaborate with senior advisors on initiatives spanning operational readiness, reliability engineering, productivity improvement, capital portfolio management and complex multi‑disciplinary projects.

Qualifications

Experience across the software development life cycle, including containerisation, Git and data science languages/notebooks.

Solid data engineering skills: cleansing, transformation, loading and modelling across SQL and NoSQL.

Familiarity with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their storage, database, data lake and analytics services.

Experience with key data and ML tools such as Spark, Databricks, Python, R, TensorFlow/PyTorch and Jupyter/RStudio.

Understanding of data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI) and agile ways of working.

Relevant scientific or engineering degree.
