Senior / Lead Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer Brisbane

We are currently seeking an experienced Principal Data Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise data and analytics transformation program within local government.

This role will play a key part in designing, building and governing a modern Microsoft Fabric data platform, enabling enterprise reporting, analytics and future AI capabilities across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities Lead the design and delivery of Microsoft Fabric data solutions Build and optimise scalable data pipelines and Lakehouse architectures Develop and maintain Azure-based data platforms and integrations Drive data governance, security and platform best practices Work closely with technical and business stakeholders across the organisation Support enterprise reporting, analytics and real-time data initiatives

Required Experience Robust hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric Experience across OneLake, Lakehouse and Data Factory Advanced SQL and PySpark/Python capability Solid Azure data platform experience Proven background delivering enterprise-scale data engineering solutions Experience within local government, utilities or enterprise environments highly regarded
