**DESCRIPTION**: We are seeking an Area Manager to join our AU Transportation Operations Management team to support our Brisbane Fulfillment Center and manage transportation yard operations.

- 5.00pm

Key job responsibilities
- Create, oversee, and drive a culture of safety and well-being,
- Partner with site leadership, transportation partners to improve On-time Arrival and Departure Performance of trucks in and out of yards, and deliver high Customer Experience metrics,
- Communicate between multiple stakeholders to streamline flow of trucks in the yard,
- Accountable to report yard performance to the local site leadership, identify root causes for structural issues and drive resolution with multiple stakeholders,
- Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and implementation of Lean tools.
- Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs; while measuring and identifying activities performed,
- Ability to work some weekend shifts as needed (this team provides tactical support to Amazon’s fulfillment network 7 days/week),
- Lead, manage and develop small teams,
- Respond to and manage incidents in conjunction with various stakeholders

A day in the life You’ll work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, making sure it is as productive as it can be. Your main focus will be to own and drive a culture of safety and uphold quality and shift performance standards. You’ll also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation. A typical day is varied, including everything from routine team management and daily operational responsibilities to process improvement and wide-scale operational contingency tasks. You’ll also be a role model and mentor to your team.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at diverse levels of the organization
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Experience building and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies
- Experience working in operations, transportation, supply chain, logistics, or relevant field,
- Experience in performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience,
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent qualification.
