Your key responsibilities
You will be required to fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with the Queensland Public Service values.
Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces. Use a wide range of standard Queensland Health operating systems to assist in the process of financial, human resource, travel and procurement requirements. Provide research and project assistance, including the preparation of reports as required by senior management. Prepare financial and human resource reports in formats that assist decision-making and meet the needs of senior staff within the branch/division. Liaise with Managers/Directors to gain information that is relevant to financial and human resource management planning and reporting. Maintain an effective records management system and manage computerised databases to implement effective mail and document tracking. Liaise, consult and maintain effective relationships with all distribution centre and Transport staff, internal and external clients and stakeholders. Be an effective team member, willing to learn and actively participate in a high performing team by contributing to the quality improvement of operating procedures and checking of outputs. Role fit
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following: High level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with officers at all levels with integrity, tact, ethical conduct, confidentiality and ensuring client interest. Demonstrated high standard and experience of administrative support skills including, knowledge of departmental financial and administrative processes and reporting requirements, and information systems relevant to the business. Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and work cooperatively, effectively and collaboratively within a team environment; to work autonomously and utilise discretion in the absence of decision makers; and to meet deadlines and establish work priorities to maximise efficiency, work output and the changing needs of the team.
