**About the role**

We are looking for an experienced Telecommunications Technician to become part of our agile team! In this role, you will be responsible for connecting and securing wires and cables to appliances, and establishing telecommunication cabling systems for telephones, radio, pay TV, and data transmission networks. Your expertise will be key in installing and configuring telecommunication devices such as telephones, switchboards, and data equipment to achieve optimal integration and performance.

Key duties include cable splicing and sealing, conducting precise fibre optic installations, integrating network equipment, and diagnosing issues using specialized measurement tools. You will also handle the repair and replacement of malfunctioning components, maintain both overhead and underground cabling systems, and perform detailed safety and quality inspections.

Furthermore, you will interpret blueprints to ensure accurate placement of equipment and install internal telecommunications systems, including data cabling, network peripherals, and security systems. **Qualifications and Requirements**

**To be considered for this opportunity you will have the following skills and experience**:

- Qualification equivalent to Diploma or higher or min 4 years relevant work experience.
- At least 2 years working experience in cabling, trouble shooting and team management on a major telecommunication network.
- NBN enable qualified.
- Cabling and testing certificates required.
- Traffic Management card preferred.
- Confined space & gas detection preferred.
- Working at height preferred.
- Extensive understanding of networks.
- Construction Card (White Card) required.
- Australian (C Class) Drivers Licence required.

Pay: $65,000.00
- $75,000.00 per year
