**About the role**
We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a **Claims Manager
- Member Insurance & Claims, **you will be responsible for the case management and completion of a portfolio of claims on behalf of the Trustee. You will be responsible for proactively managing all claim types and claims handling activities from lodgment through to decision by the insurer or the Trustee.
Successful relationship management with all stakeholders including members, beneficiaries and their representatives, employers, insurers, the medical community and other third parties is required. You will be required to establish and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with all parties and liaise with customers in a sensitive and appropriate manner.
You will also proactively manage the progress of claims through resolving any issues preventing claim progress and finalisation. The role will deliver excellent service to Australian Retirement Trust customers and third parties in relation to all claims.
This role is a permanent opportunity.

It goes without saying you'll be a outstanding communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you'll tick some of the following boxes too:
- Demonstrated experience in death and/or insurance claims handling.
- A genuine passion for customer service and the ability to inspire and lead others to outstanding customer experiences.
- Ability to communicate in a sensitive and appropriate manner, representing the members and the clients’ interests with integrity.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- competent at producing recommendation reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated business and commercial acumen through communication of complex issues, assessment of risk and improvement recommendations.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office suite and computer literacy.
