About the Role

As the Project Procurement Lead, you will be responsible for leading sourcing and contract management activities across key procurement categories and major project requirements. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver value-driven procurement outcomes, mitigate supply risks, and support critical operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities across assigned categories
- Develop and execute category management and sourcing strategies
- Manage complex commercial negotiations and supplier agreements
- Build strong relationships with strategic suppliers and stakeholders
- Identify procurement improvement and cost optimisation opportunities
- Ensure security of supply and supplier performance outcomes
- Support governance, risk management, and procurement compliance requirements
- Mentor and support procurement team members where required

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management
- Strong commercial negotiation and contract management capability
- Experience within industrial, energy, mining, infrastructure, manufacturing, or project-based environments
- Exposure to major capital equipment or project procurement highly regarded
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

- Tertiary qualification in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline
- CIPS or equivalent procurement certification highly regarded
