PLC / Electrical Automation Engineer (Industrial Robotics) …, Brisbane

Build one of Australia’s most ambitious industrial robotics products. Robotine is developing advanced industrial automation systems combining robotics, motion control, machine vision and manufacturing automation. Our current focus is a fully automated cabinet assembly system designed for real-world production environments. We are now looking for an experienced PLC / Electrical Automation Engineer to help us push our first production-ready system across the finish line. This is not a graduate role. We are looking for someone who has already built, programmed, wired or commissioned real industrial automation systems. What you’ll be doing
- Designing and reviewing electrical schematics and control systems
- PLC programming and industrial machine integration
- Working with motion control systems, servo drives and industrial IO
- Supporting commissioning, debugging and system integration
- Assisting with machine vision and robotics integration
- Helping eliminate electrical and controls bottlenecks during final integration
- Working directly with founders and engineering team in a fast-moving robotics startup What we’re looking for
- Strong PLC and industrial automation experience
- Experience with industrial robotics or motion control systems
- Experience wiring or designing industrial control panels
- Experience commissioning industrial machinery
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and controls issues independently
- Practical engineering mindset — someone who gets things working
- Comfortable in startup-style environments with rapid iteration
