Help design the next generation of industrial robotics systems. Robotine is building advanced robotics and automation products designed for real-world manufacturing environments. Our current focus is a fully automated cabinet assembly system combining robotics, motion systems, machine vision and industrial automation into a production-ready machine. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys designing real machines — not just CAD models. This is a hands-on engineering role inside a fast-moving robotics startup where your designs will directly influence products being built, tested and deployed. What you’ll be doing
- Designing mechanical systems for industrial robotics applications
- Creating production-ready CAD assemblies and technical drawings
- Producing 2D orthographic manufacturing drawings for suppliers and manufacturers
- Improving machine rigidity, reliability and manufacturability
- Supporting prototyping, testing and iteration of robotic systems
- Working closely with controls, software and manufacturing teams
- Assisting with fabrication and manufacturing coordination
- Helping solve real-world engineering problems during commissioning and integration Mandatory requirements (in order)
- Strong experience with Autodesk Inventor
- Experience creating 2D technical/orthographic drawings for manufacturing
- Familiarity with ISO 128 or similar engineering drawing standards
- Understanding of manufacturing techniques, including: Welding, Tube laser cutting, 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC machining
- Strong practical mechanical design skills
- Ability to design systems that are manufacturable and reliable Great to have
- Experience with Git and GitHub workflows
- Experience with Inventor Frame Generator
- Experience with robotics, automation or industrial machinery
- Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Startup or rapid-prototyping experience Why join Robotine?
- Work on genuinely ambitious robotics products
- Small team with high ownership and direct impact
- Opportunity to help shape the engineering culture and future direction of the company
- Fast-paced environment with real hardware and real-world deployment challenges
- Work directly with founders and experienced robotics engineers
- Long-term growth potential as Robotine expands into industrial automation products Location Brisbane, QLD — in office role Hybrid arrangements may be considered for the right candidate. Employment Type Full-time only To apply Send your CV, portfolio, LinkedIn profile, or examples of machines/products you’ve worked on. We care far more about real engineering ability and initiative than polished corporate resumes. Apply on Kit Job: kitjobau.com/job/3r2spw
