General Foreman | Commercial Construction (Brisbane)

About the Company Our client is a highly regarded construction business delivering complex design & construct (D&C;) projects across the commercial and retail sectors. With a strong reputation for quality and delivery, they continue to secure large-scale work and are seeking an experienced General Foreman to join their team. The Role Reporting to the Site Manager / Project Manager, you will be responsible for the in office coordination, supervision and delivery of construction activities, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. You will take ownership of trade coordination, subcontractor performance and day-to-day site operations, playing a key role in delivering complex builds with a focus on quality and programme. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers and site labour to achieve project outcomes
- Oversee day-to-day construction activities including trade sequencing and site logistics
- Implement and drive construction programmes and look-ahead schedules
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with quality, safety and time objectives
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with scope, specifications and standards
- Maintain strong site communication with project teams and stakeholders
- Take responsibility for HSE compliance and safe work practices on-site
- Drive a strong focus on quality assurance and defect minimisation
- Support a positive, collaborative and performance-driven site culture About You Experience
- Proven track record delivering large-scale D&C; projects, particularly: Ø Commercial Ø Retail Ø Suspended structure builds
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Foreman / General Foreman role
- Experience in high-quality builds with minimal defects Skills & Attributes
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Excellent planning and programming capability
- Proven ability in subcontractor and supplier management
- Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
- Team player who is self-motivated and proactive
- Passionate about delivering high-quality construction outcomes Qualifications & Requirements
- Trade qualification in a relevant field (preferred)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Experience with systems such as Procore (desirable)
- Strong understanding of WHS and site compliance
