**About the Role**

Join MYOB as a Tax Consultant and play a key role in shaping our success! You’ll provide critical R&D; Tax, GST, and income tax expertise to support our Senior Tax Manager and stakeholders, while driving compliance, efficiency, and innovation across the business.

As a proactive teammate in our finance function, you’ll deliver insights, mentorship, and process improvements that promote robust tax governance and informed decision-making. If you’re passionate about making an impact with your tax knowledge, we’d love to hear from you!

**What will keep you busy...**:
- Manage the R&D; claim process across Australia and New Zealand while building strong relationships to gather relevant data from non-tax teams
- Provide expertise on R&D; Tax, GST, and income tax compliance, ensuring accuracy in reporting and effective processes
- Contribute to the preparation and review of transfer pricing documentation, intercompany agreements, income tax returns, and tax effect accounting calculations
- Maintain and enhance the tax governance framework, including policies, procedures, and tax controls testing
- Support internal projects such as tax research, M&A; activities, post-acquisition integration, and process improvements
- Collaborate with the Senior Tax Manager, tax authorities, and advisors to address ad hoc tax matters and provide insights for decision-making

**What we'd love to see from you...**:
- Proven experience in a chartered accounting or corporate environment, with a strong focus on corporate tax
- Proven ability to explain R&D; tax concepts and collaborate effectively with non-tax team members to gather critical data
- Hands-on experience managing tax processes, including R&D; tax claims, GST compliance, tax-effect accounting, income tax, and transfer pricing
- Solid grasp of tax legislation with a track record in maintaining governance, controls, and compliance standards
- Tech-savvy with advanced skills in Excel, Word, SharePoint, and familiarity with tax software (ideally CCH Integrator)
- Distinguished communication and project management skills, along with strong attention to details, and a positive, can-do attitude that excels both independently and within a team
