**About the Role**

**Reporting to the Client Services Manager at Certis, you will be the site-based operational owner of Powerlink’s 24/7 Security Operations Centre.**

You will be accountable for:

- **Operational performance and resilience of the SOC**:

- **Contract compliance and audit readiness**:

- **Statewide incident coordination and escalation**:

- **Leadership of a specialist SOC workforce**:

- **Maintaining client confidence through disciplined, intelligence-led operations**

You will act as the primary day-to-day operational interface with Powerlink Protective Security, emergency services and internal Certis teams, providing calm authority and sound judgement during critical security and emergency events.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Leading a 24/7 SOC supporting critical infrastructure across Queensland
- Providing senior leadership during complex security incidents and emergencies
- Coordinating with emergency services, law enforcement and internal response teams
- Ensuring operational readiness, workforce capability and system integrity
- Driving continuous improvement, lessons learned and operational uplift
- Maintaining cost discipline, scope integrity and service sustainability
- Building and leading a high-performing, professional SOC team

This is a role where operational decisions matter, and where leadership, judgement and credibility are essential.

**What we’re looking for**

You are likely to come from energy, utilities, transport, defence, policing, emergency management, or a mature SOC / ECC environment, and bring:

- Proven experience leading security operations in a regulated, high-risk or critical-infrastructure

environment
- Strong capability in incident management, escalation and real-time decision-making
- Experience overseeing integrated security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms, incident platforms)
- Confidence operating with senior stakeholders and emergency services
- A leadership style that is calm, disciplined and decisive under pressure

Mandatory requirements include:

- Queensland Security Licence (Monitoring & Unarmed)
- Queensland Security Advisor Licence
- Ability to obtain or hold AGSVA Baseline clearance
- Senior First Aid & CPR
