This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

**About the Role**: Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Consulting with departmental officers and briefing the Assistant Director-General both verbally and in writing, on emergent and critical issues that may require sensitive management or immediate attention.
- Ensuring high level quality assurance and critical analysis of media, correspondence, briefings and submissions in order to ensure accuracy in both content and presentation, and alignment with relevant legislation and policies.
- Engaging in policy analysis and prepare associated briefs, reports and submissions on specific issues as required by the Assistant Director-General.
The role requires you to investigate and analyse issues, lead and influence others, use your ability to communicate complex concepts and make informed customer-led recommendations to senior and executive management. Highly desirable skills and experience;
- Solid organisational skills
- Flexibility to work across a number of priorities and projects
- Exceptional writer and communicator
- Excellent attention to detail and coordination skills
- Great at stakeholder engagement and negotiation
- Innovative and collaborative
- Commitment to building a positive workplace culture
- Knowledge of contemporary infrastructure service functions within a large and complex organisation is beneficial.
